If you are visiting during July - September you will find berries and mushrooms. With a fishing rod, it is also possible to pull up fresh fish from the river. In the winter the area is perfect for skiing.
Satertind towers majestically over the cabin from the south-east, and despite its 1,623 moh, it is possible to access both summer and winter.
1 km before Storeng fjellgård you will find a T-marked trail leading to Storjord, Bleiknes and Solvågli in Junkerdal.
