A digital concept!

Saltdal municipality decided in 2023 to digitize its Tourist Information Service, which for many years was delivered with great expertise and local «know-how»  from Nordnes Kro & Camping. The digitization was carried out with Saltdal Utvikling as project manager and with Nordnes Kro and Camping as a major contributor and resource in the process of renewing the service. With the local web and design studio Snowberry as a professional resource, Saltdal municipality now own its own digital tourism concept called «Visit Saltdal» 

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who have contributed with photos and information and hence have made Visit Saltdal possible.

The new digital tourist information is available all year round 24/7. The concept consists of the following components:

Website: 

The "Visit Saltdal" website where you will find an overview of everything you need to be able to plan your vacation in Saltdal. Accommodations, restaurants, travel hacks, activities, highlights and current events.

Interactive map:

A comprehensive map which gives an complete overview of everything from activities, accommodation, catering, hiking trails, national parks, shelters, swimming areas, skitracks, petrol and charging stations, sights, museums and so on.. 

Socials:

We are active on the social channels Tiktok, Instagram and Facebook. We want to inspire travelers by sharing photos and videos from Saltdal, as well as informing about local events and happenings. We can be contacted directly via DM on Instagram and Messenger on Facebook.
