Shinrin-yoku / Forest bathing
Have you heard of forest bathing? Forest bath is a direct translation of the Japanese Shinrin-yoku, which means "to take in the forest with all the senses".
Forest bathing
A forest bath is a quiet walk in nature suitable for everyone. Through various exercises, you will learn to open your senses and get in touch with both nature and yourself.
Sigrid, the guide at the National Park Center organizes Shinrin-yoku every Tuesday and Thursday during the summer season (booking in advance is required)
Forest bathing is actually a science-based practice that was first developed in Japan in the 80s and has since spread throughout the world in recent decades. A forest bath lowers stress levels, strengthens the immune system and improves focus.
